누구나 아끼던 동화책이나 솜털인형에 애착하던 시절이 있었을 것입니다. 낡고 지저분해서 버려야할 때가 한참 지났던 그 것들, 데리고 오고 싶었지만 그냥 지나쳐야 했던 그 유기견들, 그토록 갖고 싶었던 어른들의 물건, 동경하던 연예인들…

이번 인사갤러리 전시에서는 어릴적 아끼던 동화책이나 인형을 베고 스르르 잠들던, 포근한 감정에서 깨어나던 그 아쉬운 순간, 날카로운 현실의 감각을 그리는 세 작가를 모셨습니다.

드림 다이어리 에피소드 1 전시는 성장과정에서 경험하는 다양한 감정과 애착, 잠식된 어린시절에 대한 자각에 관한 이야기입니다. 포근하고, 부석거리고, 담대한 또는 섬세한 애착의 에피소드 조각들이 관람객 여러분께 일상과 공감할 수 있기를 희망합니다.

There has been a time when we held a special attachment to childhood items such as dearset fairy tale books or soft animals. The items that were worn, dirty and long overdue to be discarded along with stray dogs  we wished we could resuce, the coveted possessions of adults we long yearned for, and the poster of celebrities we admired etc.

Insa Gallery is pleased to present three artists who depict with most empathetic sensibility of the bittersweet moment of waking up from childhood coziness.

Dream Diary Episode 1 is a story that explores various emotions, attachments and self-awareness experienced as one grows older. We hope this warm, comforting, bold and delicate exhibition resonate with one’s nostalgic reminiscence.
