이민규 작가는 다양한 종류의 나무와 스테인리스 스틸 재료를 결합하여 반복과 배열로 형성된 형태에 조형 감각을 더하여 공예적 요소와 fine art의 미적 언어가 자연스럽게 결합된 작업을 추구합니다.
김봉환 작가는 조형적 탐구에 더해 실제 사용이 가능한 기능적 오브제를 제작하며, 예술성과 실용성이 공존하는 정교함과 조형적 감각을 드러내는 공예의 또 다른 가능성을 제시합니다.
이유진 작가는 세라믹(ceramic)을 활용한 독특한 조형들로 평면과 입체 작업을 다양하게 전개하고 있습니다. 작은 단위의 재료들이 반복적으로 연결되고 쌓이면서 형성되는 형태는 장식적인 아름다움과 함께 리듬감 있는 구조를 만들어냅니다.

“Beyond Craft” features three artists—Kim Bonghwan, Lee Mingyu, and Lee Yujin—that explores the intersection of craft, form, and fine art. Through a range of possibilities emerging between materials and techniques, as well as function and form, the exhibition examines how the boundaries between craft and sculpture can be expanded.
Lee Mingyu combines various types of wood with stainless steel, creating works structured through repetition and arrangement. His practice integrates a refined sense of form, where elements of craftsmanship and the aesthetic language of fine art coexist seamlessly.
Kim Bonghwan, in addition to his sculptural explorations, produces functional objects that can be used in everyday life. His work presents another possibility of craft, where artistic sensibility and practicality are brought together through meticulous construction and formal sophistication.
Lee Yujin develops both two-dimensional and three-dimensional works using ceramics. Her pieces are formed through the repetitive connection and accumulation of small units, resulting in structures that convey rhythmic composition alongside decorative beauty.
Rather than strictly distinguishing between craft and sculpture, “Beyond Craft” exhibition highlights the new expressive possibilities that arise when the two disciplines intersect.
