동물은 사람이 가지지 않은 특별한 능력이 있습니다.

조그마한 몸집의 생명체가 무엇보다도 큰 존재가 되어 일상의 에너지를 얻을 수도 있고 우리와 무관한 듯한 야생 동물 또한 지구 반대편 어딘가에 존재한다는 사실을 실감하는 순간일 때면 우리는 한없이 겸허해지고야 말지요. 보통의 나날들이 무심코 지나갈 때 동물들은 우리의 모든 순간을 특별하게 만들어줍니다.

문경, 윤서희, 황다희 이 세 작가는 작업을 통해 동물의 생각과 사람의 생각, 이 둘을 연결합니다. 자연에 대한 존경심, 거대하거나 소소한 영감, 동심과 향수, 그 고마움을 담아 인사갤러리에서 동물을 테마로 작업을 하면서 실생활에서도 적극적으로 동물 보호에 힘쓰는 3인의 작가를 모셨습니다. 이번 전시를 통해 우리가 내 옆, 또는 지구 건너편의 그 작고 거대한 존재와 조우할 수 있기를 기대합니다.

Animals have unique capabilities humans do not possess.

We as humans humble ourselves when we acknowledge seemingly small, unimportant creatures can become very large beings that have a significant impact on our ecosystem and that wild animals exist somewhere on the other side of the Earth; living among us as if they are indifferent to our existence. As ordinary days pass, animals make every moment special for us.

Insa Gallery has invited three special artists Moon-Kyeong, Yoon-Seohee, and Hwang-Dahee who connect the spirits of animals and those of people through their works as they actively protect animal rights in real life. With great respect, inspirations, innocence, nostalgia, and gratitude for nature, we hope you to encounter these unique animals from this exhibition.
